Developing a community asset based engagement tool
Developing a community asset based engagement tool.
This Project was commissioned by Together for Change and supported by the National Lottery Community Fund Wales, Hywel Dda University Health Board, and WISERD. Its aim was to improve and future-proof a valuable database of place-based community assets across Pembrokeshire. Originally developed by Together for Change to generate knowledge of local places and inform community research sampling, the database captured information on local infrastructure, public services and community resources but was time-consuming to build and difficult to update or scale.
In response, WISERD was commissioned to restructure the existing data for better usability and explore ways to automate the data collection process. The Project also included consultation with communities and statutory partners to assess its relevance and potential. This collaboration lays the groundwork for a scalable and more sustainable resource to support community insight and action, both within Pembrokeshire and potentially across other areas in Wales.
